  • 2016 Aberdeen University, teaching 240 first year biology students to draw invertebrates in three half day sessions. Each session, working in a laboratory setting, with 80 students. All sessions were planned to utilise the multimedia cameras, projector, microscopes, visualiser and were recorded to be used for future years of student intake.
  • 2016 Taxonomy Club, Aberdeen University, I was fortunate to be invited as the speaker and tutor for the inaugural opening of the taxonomy club attended by 130 biology students who were instructed on how to draw Pinus sylvestris cones and needles
  • 2012-16 Family Festival various workshops
  • 2015 Maritime Museum Aberdeen - Get Creative, two 1  day botanical painting workshops relating to the Jacobite symbols: The Rose, Oak and the Thistle
  • 2014 Woodend Barn Poppy Botanical Painting workshop for the Third Age Group.
  • 2014 'Clockwork' Botanicals Workshop, Zoology Building, Aberdeen University. Poppy themed to mark the centenary of the start of the First World War.
  • 2013 - 8 botanical sketching and painting classes on for  groups of 8-12 years, 13-18 years and adults, themed to coincide with the Lavendar project at the Barn over four weeks.
  • 2012-16 Big Draw, various drawing workshops aimed at a family audience of all ages.
  • 2010 AGR Group, Botanical drawing workshop
  • 2010 Carron Art Group, Botanical drawing workshop how to draw nuts and seeds
Classes and Workshops
Fiona to host Botanical classes and workshops in her studio.

On invitation Fiona gives demonstrations and teaches drawing and painting at various art venues and art clubs throughout the North East of Scotland.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Fiona has delayed hosting Botanical classes and workshops in her studio or taking bookings for demonstrations and other guest lecture sessions until 2022.
